Welcome to the "Change Somebody's World" Ministry
Jesus was asked what is the greatest commandment? He answered "Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength." He added that "there is a second one like it: That you love your neighbor as yourself."In James chapter 2, the apostle writes: "Your calling is to fulfill the Royal Law of love as given to us in this Scripture: 'You must love and value your neighbor as you love and value yourself.' "
He goes on to say "For example, if a brother or sister in the faith is poorly clothed and hungry and you leave them saying, 'Goodbye, I hope you stay warm and have plenty to eat,' but you don't provide them with a coat or even a cup of soup, what good is your faith?" '
My heart broke when I was confronted first hand with the abject poverty combined with the beautiful faith and resiliency of the people.
The purpose of this website is not to pat ourselves on the back for helping others, we are told to not let our right hand know what the left hand is doing.
The purspose is twofold: first, that if the Lord moves on your heart to help through a donation, these folks and others like them will be blessed and eternally grateful. You can help us change somebody's world!
Secondly, we want to inspire others that even a small action, sometimes involving money, but sometimes it's just a gift of time; done in love, can literally "change somebody's world." These people that we bless through our kindness in word and deed also will find someone else to bless.
Our world is in quite a mess to put it mildly, but I have seen firsthand that as we change somebody's world, one person or family at a time, that it's catching and it perpetuates, and by living out the Gospel in this way, we can eventually change the world.
If you are inspired to make a difference, please contact us and tell us what you did and we will be happy to include it here.
